12.2 acre site – 232,000 SF building
A client with nationwide real estate holdings bought this abandoned Ames Stores headquarters facility at auction. It sat vacant for many years. Uses for the site were limited because of the attributes of the building, as well as the zoning of the site. We arranged a sale to a developer and assisted in establishing a relationship with town officials in Rocky Hill to successfully complete the sale. There is now a mixed-use redevelopment under construction, including 250 apartments.
