Jeff Dow, CCIM

President & Principal Broker

Jeff learned commercial real estate at a young age from his father, Bob, founder of Dow Realty. He joined Dow Realty in 2007 and took over control of the business much earlier than expected the following year. Jeff has led the creative, results driven Dow team since that time, extending its network of contacts and deepening valuable relationships across the New Haven and south-central Connecticut commercial real estate market. In 2013 Jeff partnered with E. Tyler Della Valle to form Dow Della Valle Realty Company to serve the residential real estate market.

Prior to re-joining Dow Realty, Jeff had an award-winning sales career at Ingersoll Rand Company. He holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University.

Jeff is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), one of only 6% of commercial realtors nationwide to hold this prestigious designation. Jeff is a member of the Greater New Haven Association of Realtors, Commercial Investment Division (CID). He has been honored with its 2008 "Rising Star Award" and is Past President.  He is member of the New Haven Rotary and Past President. Jeff contributes regularly to the New England Real Estate Journal. He is also served on the Board of Governors of the Pine Orchard Club and is a Past Finance Chair and Commodore. Jeff is a native of Branford and resides in North Branford with his wife Linda, a Professional Engineer, and their two children.

Peter DiGangi 

Leasing Director, Property Manager & Realtor

Peter joined Dow Realty and Dow Della Valle in 2022 after working ten years at two real estate companies as both a licensed realtor and property manager in the Greater New Haven area. Peter specializes in the multi family, apartment and mixed-use investment property market, representing property owners and investors. Peter’s knowledge, expertise and relationships in this market segment bring value to both Dow Realty and its clients. Peter is also currently obtaining his broker’s license.

Peter grew up in Cheshire, Connecticut. He was a star football player at his high school and went on to Southern Connecticut State University. He got a degree in business and found his passion in real estate. Peter lives in Cheshire with his wife and two children. He currently coaches his daughter in soccer and eagerly awaits a return to football coaching when his son is old enough to play the sport.

E. Tyler Della Valle 

Broker

Tyler Della Valle began his real estate career when he joined his father, Ed, in a family owned Beazley agency in 1989 and was consistently among the top 2% producers nationwide. Over the years he transitioned to working manager and led a team of fifty agents while continuing his sales success. As equal equity partners, Tyler and Ed sold the Beazley operation to Coldwell Banker in 2005. Tyler continued with Coldwell Banker as their only "selling" manager and maintained his sales excellence by attaining Coldwell's President's Council. In 2009, Tyler joined Dow Realty to focus his energy on the commercial real estate market leveraging a network of valued high net worth clients and other professional relationships. Tyler returned to residential real estate in 2013 when he and Jeff Dow formed the successful Dow Della Valle Realtors based in Hamden.

Tyler actively volunteers with a number of civic associations as well as Hamden Hall Country Day School. He is a member of the Connecticut Association of Realtors and is a director of the Greater New Haven Board of Realtors and is past President. He earned a BS in natural science from Muhlenberg College and also had two years of post-graduate study at New York University. He is a North Haven native where he and his wife Leslie and their two children reside.

James J. Bussmann

Realtor

Jim Bussmann came to the commercial real estate business via his management role in his family's business, Seaboard Oil. In addition to his sales management responsibilities, Jim procured his commercial real estate license to facilitate lease negotiations and property development. He had a key role in the development of several family properties including one that received "The Best Foot Forward" award from the Town of Clinton. In 2009, Jim decided to bring his business and marketing experience into the Commercial real estate arena full time and joined Dow Realty. 

Jim started and grew a bicycle and outdoor gear business for 12 years before selling it in 1983. Jim holds a BS degree in Business from Ohio University. Jim maintains his love for the outdoors serving as an organizer for American Cancer Society Bike-a-thons as well as past treasurer of the Connecticut Bicycle Coalition. He was also active in the oil industry as a board member of the Independent Connecticut Petroleum Association with a focus on marketing. J

im is currently serving on the board of directors at the Quinnipiack Club. Jim is a native of New Haven and currently resides in Guilford with his wife, Debbie and daughter, Courtney.

Sophie Youtz

Office Manager

Sophie is responsible for keeping the Dow Realty office organized and manages all bookkeeping and administrative functions. She joined Dow Realty in 2022 and also supports the Dow Della Valle residential realty business. Sophie started her real estate experience in property management and property management coordination in southern Virginia and later moved to the Greater New Haven market in 2020. She is exceptionally qualified to provide Dow’s Property Management clients and tenants the service, financial information and experienced support they deserve.

Sophie was born in Southeast Asia, but was raised in the States. A graduate of Roanoke College, she is an outdoor enthusiast and passionate about animal conservation and the environment. In her spare time, Sophie can be found hiking with friends and her exceptionally loyal mixed-breed shepherd, Louie.
